We’re Shon and Ashanti Mack — partners in life, love, and purpose. Our story began in Brooklyn, New York, in September 2011. Ashanti, of proud Guyanese descent, and Shon, with roots in Jamaica, Italy, and Judaism, found each other in the heart of the city. Together, we've built a life grounded in love, determination, and a deep commitment to our family — raising four amazing boys, now ages 12 to 23.

 

But our journey hasn't been easy.

 

  In 2014, shortly after the birth of our youngest son, life took a hard turn. We were evicted from our home and found ourselves homeless, navigating one of the darkest seasons of our lives. With four children depending on us, we had a choice — give in or fight back. We chose the fight. In less than a year, through grit, prayer, and relentless determination, we got back on our feet. That’s when we made a promise to each other

“Never again.”

 

  To honor that promise, we pushed harder. We kept working, studying, and leveling up — earning degrees, licenses, and certifications. Along the way, we built successful businesses in food catering, handyman services, and commercial/residential cleaning. Then COVID-19 hit, and just like that, everything came to a halt. But we didn’t stop.

 

In 2020, life tested us again.

 

  Ashanti traveled to Florida for a Brazilian butt lift, liposuction, and a tummy tuck. During recovery, she repeatedly told her post-op team something wasn’t right — but they didn’t listen. Then she collapsed. Shon, on the phone with Ashanti’s friend who had already completed her procedure, heard the panic unfold — until the call dropped. Stuck in NYC, Shon couldn’t help. Ashanti almost lost her life that day. By the grace of God, she pulled through. But not long after, someone we knew passed away from the same procedure. That was our breaking point.

We looked at each other and said, “That’s enough.”

We researched. We brainstormed. We strategized.

And from that pain, fear, and frustration, Keep It Tight was born — the world’s first cosmetic surgery and recovery care company. We made it our mission to fill the voids in the surgery world — providing comfort, safety, and compassion to those undergoing aesthetic procedures. We ensure no one feels alone, unheard, or unsafe during one of the most vulnerable times of their life.

 

  Since 2020, we’ve served over 1,000 clients, guiding them from surgery to recovery with care, support, and love — the same love that built our family.
